Giveaways & Big Announcements!

It's GIVEAWAY time!!!!! This giveaway is being hosted by Miss Sadie Lou Who. She is so sweet and thoughtful to host a giveaway in honor of Petticoats & Parasols. Im thrilled to have Lollishops as a sponsor of my event.

We are giving away TWO adorable treasures.

Sadie made this adorable clothespin doll. Isn't she the sweetest. Especially with that pink hair!!!

Next, I've made a few adorable girlie bunny parasol ornaments. A few I will sell on vendor night.

Anyone can sign up! You DONT have to attend the event in order to sign up to win . All you have to do is visit Lollishops blog and leave a comment. Sadie will draw a winner Monday March 8th.

I have a sweet darling friend that LOVES parasols. So as a surprise I decided to make her an altered doll that sorta kinda resembles her a bit. :)

Parasol doll
She even lives in California, so this perfumed talc tin was even more perfect to use.

A girl has to protect her fair delicate skin with her parasol. hee! hee!

I'll be making several more of these type altered dolls for my shop real soon!

Now, I must share with you some beautiful work from a VERY talented lady.

A little over a month ago my dear hubby complained of us not having a "bread box" in the kitchen. I tend to cram all the breads in a cabinet. So after he complained one too many times I decided that I needed to invest in one for the kitchen. However…..Im not going to have just any ole' boring bread box in my kitchen. If it's going to be displayed it MUST be pretty and fit in with my decor. πŸ˜‰

So, I went to Ebay, purchased a used worn large wooden bread box and shipped it to Penny Carlson of Lavender Hill Studio. I bought a gorgeous mosaic buffet piece from Penny about two years ago. Her work is exquisite! So, I decided to commission Penny to mosaic my bread box and turn it into a soft and pretty shabby cottage looking breadbox.

I am BEYOND thrilled with how it turned out!!!! BEAUTIFUL!!!!

What I love more than anything is Penny used the Homer Laughlin plates on the breadbox that I just  happen to have and use daily!

You can see more of Penny's work by skipping on over and visiting her. Tell her I sent ya! πŸ™‚

I am EXCITED to be attending the fabulous Kim Caldwell's July event called "Artistic Affaire Les Sirenes". WOW! The details are amazing!!!! My roomie is going to be my AWESOME big Sis Jessi and my Dollybelle sweet friend Christine

Im also thrilled to announce that Eye Candy Creations will be a vendor!!! Whoo-hoo!!!

Sign up's are under way right now. Stop by Kim's to read all about it! You wont want to miss this!!!!

Les Sirenes

My LAST BIG NEWS is I am beyond THRILLED to be attending  The Creative Connection in September.

The creative connection
The Creative Connection is a 3 day conference and market created by Jo Packham of
Where Women Create and Nancy Soriano (past editor of Country Living Magazine).

Eye Candy Creations is going to be a vendor at the 3 day Handmade Market. I am sooo excited! I will be honest and say I have NEVER been a part of a handmade craftshow that takes place for three days. So needless to say I am going to have a very busy summer working and crafting!

Im really looking forward to this opportunity. The workshops, panels, and events ALL sound INCREDIBLE! There are so many talented and brilliant women that I cannot wait to meet. Please stop by the website and read all about it. This is the #1 reason why I want to attend. Just click here.

Please don't forget to sign up to have a chance to WIN!!! Leave a comment at Lollishops.

My Mother and I are headed to Savannah this coming weekend for a little Mother/Daughter time. Im going to finalize some details on my upcoming P&P event and have some fun R&R time. Cant wait! Im sure I'll have lots to share with ya next week!
