My Christmas Home

DSCN9883-1

Happy Holidays my friends! These past few weeks I have thoroughly enjoyed visting several blogs (many more to go still!) and taking a look inside your Christmas homes. It's like flipping thru one of the finest magazines page by page and viewing all the breathtaking Christmas decorations and stunning details. I just cant stop "Ooohing and Aaahing"!  What I LOVE more than anything is seeing what YOUR cherished Christmas collections are and what you hold most dear and personal. I think we all have a favorite Christmas ornament we love most, or perhaps your stocking you've had since you were a child.

I want to invite you inside my Christmas Home and give you a little tour and share with you all my Christmas lovelies and the little sentimental things past down that I cherish most.

Step thru the front door. Come inside!!!

When you first step foot inside my home you will see my staircase bannister is decorated with fresh garland and glittery white poinsettias.

On the staircase wall I have a gorgeous Currier and Ives picture hanging up that was given to me by my parents two years ago.

Immediately to the left is my living room. It's not a real large room but very pretty and cozy. The living room is Victorian inspired in it's decor. It's decorated in colors of cream, pink, gold, and burgundy.

I did the same with a larger birdcage.

When you mosey on down the hall towards the kitchen you'll see a little hall table with a darling little vignette.

Normally I wouldn't share this room, but it is decorated pretty and festive, so I think I'll give you a peek of my powder room. It's black and white, with pops of red!

Next place on my tour is the kitchen. This room is full of nostalgic childhood happiness. I remember loving the big colored light bulbs on the tree when growing up. I wanted the kitchen to be happy and full of color. It is full of vintage santa's, figurines, elves, glowing gingerbread houses, and lots of tinsel!

This is a real fun vignette. I decorated the top of my cupboard in a whimsical kitsch look.

These are a few ornaments hanging on my tree that make me smile and fill me with happiness.

These super cute little boxed ornament assemblages were made by the talented Suze of Georgia Peachez. So whimsy and cute!!!

This wooden fox is a vintage hand puppet that my grandfather use to have as a little boy. When I was a little girl my grandparents would decorate their Christmas tree and my Grandpa would hide the fox in the tree for me to try and find.  It became a fun game for me to find the fox. I have many fun memories of searching for him year after year.

This fabulous little risque ornament was lovingly made by my friend Christine

The last room of the house that I really go ALL out and decorate and love more than any other room is my dining room. Which at Christmas time I call the Sugar Plum dining room.

Recognize this fella? Here he is again…cute pink Santa!

I took a Charlotte Lyons class at Silver Bella and made this little house ornament. The house wasn't quite complete until I scrambled thru my supply tote bag and found Heather's  business card with this beautiful ballerina's image. It truly fits the "Sugar Plum" theme.

This pretty pink tree I call the "Roses & Tiara's" tree. I've adorned it with white roses, seam bind bows, and little blingy tiara. (HINT….they are actually napkin rings that I bought at Hobby Lobby in the wedding section, and thought they would look super cute on the tree!)

Every year I display this delicate vintage tulle tree in the middle of my dining table. This is one of my favorite Christmas decorations.

Lastly, the main thing that showcases my dining room so beautifully is my tree. It's adorned top to bottom full of sparkling & glittery ornaments.

I made these darling little Christmas ornaments in Pam Garrisons "Lineage of Love" class. I actually didn't finish my project in class. :(  The class was not about making ornaments, but more of a banner. So, I turned these cuties into an ornament banner for the tree.

This will be my last post until after Christmas. Im looking forward to spending time with my children, family, and friends. I can only imagine the amount of Christmas wrapping paper that will be covered all over my floors, and the sounds of giggling, and toys blarring thru the house! Pure JOY!

From my family to your family I want to wish you all a Very Merry Christmas!!!
